For years, I have been hosting creative retreats in places that have shaped me. Not as a visitor passing through. Not as someone checking locations off a list. But as a creative who goes deep – who stays long enough to understand the rhythm of a place, and then invites others in. Morocco is a place I have been circling for a long time.
And now, this coming January is when we go.
This is not a “Morocco-themed” experience. Nor is it about chasing iconic shots in the medina or ticking off the obvious. Rather, it is an invitation into Morocco as it actually is – layered, ancient, alive in ways that are difficult to put into words and impossible to forget.
THE LAND OF SAND, SPICE & DESERT SUN

You will not just be visiting Morocco…
You will be experiencing it alongside me & my co-host Emma – someone who has lived there, who has two homes there, who knows which doors to knock on, which tables to sit at and which hours the light does something extraordinary over the rooftops.
Emma Louise Sophia is a creative I have long admired. She has hosted retreats in Morocco before, collaborated with the late creative legend Beth Kirby of Local Milk, and brings both deep creative roots and a rare gift for curating experiences that hold people well. After stepping away from this world for a few years to pursue event management in the UK, this retreat is, in part, is her return. Emma is someone who understands, deeply, what it means to hold a creative experience with care – and that is everything.

We will stay at a stunning Riad. We will wander the souks slowly, at the right pace.
We will eat extraordinarily well – from tables that have fed generations to kitchens reimagining what Moroccan food can be.
We will journey into the Atlas Mountains to explore a spice garden and make bread with our hands.
We will leave our riad in the city for an enchanting desert camp. Dwelling there just long enough for it to do what the desert does best – strip away the noise, and leave you with yourself.

JANUARY IN MOROCCO IS A GIFT
Mild, golden days. Quiet medinas unbothered by the summer crowds. And nights cool enough to draw you toward the fire – mint tea in hand, the kind of evenings that make you want to stay forever.
This is not a checklist creative retreat. It is not about rushing toward the next beautiful thing.
It is about slowing down long enough to truly see. And it is for the creative who feels the pull toward something deeper.
For the one who knows that inspiration does not come from rushing – but from immersion.
From presence.
From allowing a place to move through you rather than moving past it.

Because when you experience Morocco this way – not through highlights, but through lived rhythm – something shifts.
Your eye sharpens.
Your pace softens.
You remember why you began creating in the first place.
And you leave carrying something that no itinerary could have planned for you.

This Morocco Creative Retreat is for photographers, writers, artists, explorers – anyone who is longing to find their way deeper into their creative expression or looking for a genuinely unique expeirence. We welcome all mediums and all levels. What we ask for is an open heart and a willingness to slow down & be inspired by this truly special place.
