MATCHA WHITE HOT CHOCOLATE

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tsp (8g) Encha Organic Matcha – Latte Grade
  • 2 oz (57g) hot, but not boiling water
  • 16 oz milk (450g) (we use unsweetened soy milk)
  • 1/4 cup (40g) white chocolate, chopped (or substitute with chips) 
  • pinch of salt
  • marshmallows, for topping

Instructions

  • Using a fine mesh sifter, sift matcha into a saucepan
  • Add 2oz of hot, but not boiling water to saucepan & whisk matcha with hot water until very smooth & no lumps remain (we recommend a matcha whisk for this task)
  • Add the white chocolate & the milk to the saucepan. Heat over medium low heat, stirring often until white chocolate is fully melted and liquid reaches desired drinking temperature
  • Pour into mugs, top each drink with a marshmallow & serve

Notes

*To achieve a beautiful green hue with your matcha white hot chocolate, we highly recommend using a top quality culinary matcha – we use ENCHA Organic Matcha . Low quality matcha will not be vibrant green, but instead will result in a dull brownish color
