VEGAN BLACK SESAME CHOCOLATE CAKE with MATCHA CREAM CHEESE FROSTING

Boy has it been a while since I have blogged! Life has been all things crazy and overwhelming lately…currently of which is due to hosting a workshop the week before last and now getting ready to host our last U.S. workshop this week! Amidst the whirlwind, I wanted to take a quick moment to check in with all of you and share an incredible recipe from our last workshop! This vegan black sesame chocolate cake with matcha cream cheese frosting was the product of an amazing collaboration between our two workshop assistants & myself.

Karlee Flores a.k.a @oliveandartisan and Elena Feldbaum a.k.a. @alenka007, are two of my dearest friends and I could not have been more honored to have them by my side for our final workshops in the U.S. Karlee and I dreamt up this cake recipe together over the phone and while we pondered how we would garnish the sheet cake, Elena’s incredible vegan aquafaba meringues came to mind and we knew immediately that they would be the perfect finishing touch!

Black sesame & matcha are a favorite combination of mine, not to mention matcha & cream cheese blend so beautifully together…so this cake was bound to be a winner from its conception, but the moment when I took my first bite I was BLOWN AWAY! This is one of the best cakes I have ever tasted…literally! And the fact that it is vegan makes it even more incredible in my humble opinion ;)

I cannot wait to eat this cake again and trust me when I tell you that you need this cake in your life! To get the cake recipe, you can head to Karlee’s blog www.oliveandartisan.com. And if you want to learn how to make absolutely perfect vegan meringues to garnish your cake, then head to Alena’s blog www.urbankitchenaffair.com!

I hope to be back here soon sharing more from these workshops and a hopefully recipe or two before we make our big move to Greece!

Talk soon,

bella

NO wonder your 4-day Food Photography and Styling Workshops are SO freakin in demand and sell-out so fast that you have to put on ENCORE Workshops for all the overflow demand from the waiting list attendees!! i feel like learning from you at these Workshops would be like learning from THE Expert Master Stylist and Photographer. At least that’s what i hear from all the past attendees to your Workshops!!
